Trusting your copier leasing agent is extremely important to getting a great copier lease. Many of the people out there claiming to help you are only in it for their own personal gain. This is why we believe that it’s important to talk with your potential agent before committing to any company. Having some questions to ask your leasing agent can help you get a good feel for if you trust them or not.
These questions are not foolproof. They are just some suggestions to help you see if your agent actually wants to help you or if they just want your money. Listen closely to if they try to steer you away from specifics of the lease or any talk about money.
- What kind of assistance can I expect if I need help with my machine? Are they actually going to want to help you when you need it or will they leave you to your own devices when things turn ugly
- What is the total financial breakdown of my lease? Don’t assume that your lease payment is everything you need to worry about. Ask for specifics about what you are paying for and where your money is going. This is a great one for determining if they are trying to smooth over a bad lease or not.
- What do you think would be a good match for my business? This is good to see if they are just trying to push you to expensive options. If they want you to spend thousands for something that would cost you a fraction of that then you know you aren’t dealing with someone who wants to actually help you.
The more questions that you ask your agent the better. You are going to want to make sure that you want to work with this person for years to come.
